Expe­nses­ and Credit Options­

Registration Fees­

The John Muir Academy Registration ­Fee is $375.00 (this includes a nonrefundable fee of $50.00). Registration fees may be paid for with local district Staff Development Funds, Tit­le I Funds, Title II Funds, NCLB Funds or Special Education Funds. Please check with your Administrator for availability of your district's funds. (Registration Fee includes workshop, materials, business tours, continental breakfasts, breaks a­nd lunches.)

Registration received after June 18, 201­0, will be $400.00. Registrations received seven days before the Academy or on the day of the Academy will be $425.00. No refunds will be given for cancellations the week before the Academy or for "no shows."

Attendance / Grade Policy

We expect participants in the John Muir Academy to have a fun and exciting learning experience, but we also expect them to put in a full week's work. It is our expectation that Academy participants will attend the entire week, including the industry tours and discussions that follow.

Exceptions will be made only in the case of ­illness or family emergency. Should an exception need to be made, the instructor should notify Academy staff immediately. If a participant misses class, the following steps will be taken:

*If 1/2 day is missed, the final grade will be lowered by one full grade.
*If a full day is missed, the grade will be lowered by two full grades.
*If more than a day is missed, the participant is welcome to complete the session, but no graduate credit will be granted.

Credit Options

If you are interested in taking a workshop for credit. Payment for credits should be sent directly to Viterbo University or Edgewood College on the first day of the Academy. Do not send payment for credits with the registration fee to John Muir Academy. This amount is in addition to the John Muir Registration Fee. Credit options are as follows:
